A day doesn't go by that I don't have at least one interesting (usually positive) experience on the subway. Sometimes they are really special. Last Sunday (April 10, 2005) I was on my way to see M. Ward and CocoRosie at Bowery Ballroom. There were about ten people in the subway car I chose. Three of them were playing banjos. Singing and harmonica-playing followed. A group of kids boarded the train a stop later. They started laughing, square-dancing, and creating beats with their feet. Everyone in the car clapped after every song. This lasted a full six stops before the guys from Brooklyn-based Banjorama exited the train.

Here are some places you may have seen us.

PS 107 Fall Festival,
M Shanghai Den, Lillie's, The Brooklyn Country Music Festival, Gavin Brown's Enterprise, Jugfest @ Southpaw, ING New York City Marathon

Another great feature of this CD is the variety of music. There are some of the jug band standards as well as some great originals...Banjorama’s Leave Them Jugs Alone has that great chord progression found in songs like Keep On Truckin’ and fun lyrics.
